smoked potatoes

Smoking baked potatoes may just be the easiest thing you do on your smoker. The only thing you need to worry about is maintaining temperatures around 110C or 225 degrees F on your smoker. You can use pretty much any hard or fruit wood you like for smoking and the potatoes will pick up the perfect kiss of smoky flavor.

once smoked turn into an amazing potato salad with crispy chorizo, chives, diced egg and a chipotle mayonnaise or simply slather on a pile of sour cream & freshly cut chives & fennel

what you need

6 large Russet potatoes

4 Tablespoons olive oil

2 tbs Smokey Joe's Cuban Rub

What to do

Preheat your smoker to 110C (225F). Really any wood works well with baked potatoes. You can experiment to see which is your favorited.

Wash and dry your baked potatoes. Pierce with a fork on all sides. Drizzle with olive oil and rub all over the skin of the baked potatoes. Season each with the salt and pepper.

Place the potatoes on the smoker at 225 degrees F. Close the lid and smoke for 2 hours or until the potatoes pierce easily with a fork.
