Snack time, dinner time, whatever you want to call it time! These Sticky Orange Harissa wings are perfect for any time! Including Wing Wednesday time!
The wings are coated in a sweet and sticky sauce that is spiced with harissa, a North African hot chili pepper paste that is super flavourful and and shines when it's combined with honey.
What you need!
1.5kgs chicken wings
@smokeyjoesrubs garlic butter rub
1-2 tablespoons harissa
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
Juice of half an orange
Coat chicken wings in 2 tablespoons Smokey Joes Garlic Butter Rub and refrigerate for 2 hours.
In a bowl combine the harissa, honey, vinegar and orange juice.
Preheat oven to 180°C
Line a baking tray and place a wire cooking rack onto the tray.
Place Garlic Butter chicken wings onto the wire rack and roast for 30 minutes.
Carefully remove wings from oven and place them into a bowl. Pour the sauce over hot wings and mix to coat them well.
Place wings back onto the hot rack and cook for 5 minutes, baste wings with any remaining sauce and cook for a further 5 minutes or until cooked through.
Garnish with orange zest and your ready to dig in!
